RotheramCarringtonFinancialRecruitment is pleased to be supporting a well-established FMCG organisation based in the Cheshire East location. Our Client is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join its fast-paced business. The role requires excellent communication skills, strong Excel expertise, and the ability to work with management information to support the business in making better decisions.
Role purpose
Responsible for all commercial reporting and analysis completed by the finance team. It will involve delivering a suite of sales and margin analysis across multiple revenue streams, providing key insights and visibility to aid decision‑making, improve performance, and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivers sales and margin analysis for all revenue streams, including manufactured products and ancillary traded products
- Complete monthly actuals reporting, contract analysis, forecasting, and budgeting processes for sales and margin
- Provide commercial reporting across several areas, including:
- Monthly reporting on actual sales and margin performance
- Analysis of different sales channels (Retail, Sales, Group, Wholesale), consolidating performance across the business and identifying opportunities to improve sales volume and margin
- Weekly and monthly reporting on traded products
- Reporting and analysis around commercial sales contracts
- Supporting seasonal reporting requirements, which may change depending on market conditions
- Manage and support sales forecasting processes on a monthly basis
- Manage and support the annual budgeting process for all relevant product categories
- Develop new reporting to meet evolving business needs, working with senior leaders and sales teams to bring management insights to life
- Continuously review and improve reporting to enhance decision-making, sales performance, and profitability
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- Experience working with management information and commercial reporting
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
Salary/Benefits
- £53,000 to £55,000 per annum plus bonus (based on personal performance)
- Hybrid working 2 days WFH (flexibility on days required around month, year-end and busy periods)
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
