As part of our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a highly experienced Senior Conveyancing Solicitor to lead our Residential Conveyancing team based in Leicester. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a motivated individual with strong technical expertise, a client-focused approach, and the ability to inspire and manage a team of legal professionals.
- Lead and manage the Residential Conveyancing team, providing guidance, support, and mentoring to junior solicitors and conveyancers.
- Handle a caseload of complex and high-value residential property matters from instruction to completion.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards, including Lexcel and CQS.
- Drive performance and productivity across the team while maintaining exceptional client service standards.
- Collaborate with other senior staff and partners to support strategic objectives and business development opportunities.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, referrers, and other stakeholders.
Skills, experience and attributes
- Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer with at least 5 years’ post-qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
- Proven leadership and team management experience in a legal environment.
- Excellent technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to growing the team’s client base and enhancing service delivery.
- Strong business development and generation skills, with the ability to grow the Leicester team’s client base and develop new sources of work.
