Our established Childcare Team provides a full range of specialist services including:
- Care proceedings, supervision orders and other public law children matters
- Special Guardianship Orders
- Private law children orders including Child Arrangements Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Specific Issue Orders.
As a Childcare Solicitor and Panel Member, you will manage a varied caseload of complex childcare matters, providing expert legal advice and representation, including advocacy in court. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in childcare law and a commitment to exceptional client care.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years PQE as a qualified Solicitor
- Law Society Children Law Accreditation (essential)
- Proven experience in public law childcare proceedings including instructions from Children’s Guardians
- Strong advocacy experience in family court
- Experience dealing with Legal Aid cases
- Ability to manage a busy caseload under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- A commercial approach to fee earning and billing
- Experience supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
