Citizens Advice 1066 is looking for a Payment Officer to join our Crisis Payments Service, helping ensure emergency financial support reaches local residents quickly, accurately and securely. [
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with administration, finance or payments experience who enjoys working with detail, maintaining accurate records and contributing to a service that makes a real difference in the community.
What you’ll be doing
- Processing approved crisis payment awards
- Maintaining accurate payment records and audit trails
- Supporting financial reconciliation activities
- Monitoring payment transactions and resolving discrepancies
- Following financial controls and fraud prevention procedures
- Producing payment and performance reports
- Working closely with colleagues to support efficient service delivery
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in administration, finance, payments or accounts support
- Has strong numerical and IT skills, including Excel
- Can work accurately and meet deadlines
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Is committed to delivering high-quality customer service
