We are seeking a highly motivated Business Support Officer to join our dynamic team, delivering essential administrative and technical support to the Environmental Health and Licensing Service. This position forms part of a shared service between Rother and Wealden Councils, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of both districts.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the general public, delivering exceptional customer care through effective communication via telephone, face-to-face interactions, and written correspondence.
  • Undertake a diverse range of administrative tasks and promptly respond to associated queries, showcasing strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively as a valued member of a dedicated team, providing support to colleagues within the service area and demonstrating ability to work autonomously.
  • Based primarily at the Town Hall in Bexhill, with occasional work at Wealden Councils’ Hailsham office.
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills, allowing you to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven administrative experience, enabling you to handle a wide range of tasks and queries with efficiency and professionalism.

Contract & Compensation:

  • Contract Type: Full Time – 37 hours per week
