The predicted salary is between 13 - 16 £ per hour.
As a valued member of our flexible workforce, you’ll help keep our Bawden Building in Harpenden running smoothly for our staff to work safely. You’ll work the shifts that suit you and the team, up to 15 hours per week over 2-3 days.
The post holder’s role will include routine support services for the laboratories associated with the agronomy, aerobiology/plant pathology, bioimaging, genomics, insect survey/genomics, integrated pest management, and weed science research groups/teams.
The main duties will entail, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning of the laboratory areas (sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning sinks and emptying bins)
- Washing glassware
- Operating autoclaves
- Maintaining the service room, and similar such tasks
Ideally applicants will have some laboratory based experience but full training will be provided as required.
