With involvement from early concept through to completion, the consultancy plays a key role in shaping modern fire safety standards and delivering specialist assurance services.
Role Overview
This is a senior-level opportunity for an experienced Fire Engineer ready to step into a Principal position. You will take ownership of major projects, provide technical leadership, and act as a trusted advisor to clients. The role also includes mentoring engineers, contributing to business growth, and influencing design at a strategic level.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of complex fire engineering strategies in line with UK regulations and performance-based design principles.
- Take full ownership of projects across all RIBA stages, from concept through to completion.
- Act as the primary client interface, providing expert advice and building long-term relationships.
- Oversee and review fire modelling, computational analysis, and technical outputs produced by the team.
- Provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and peer review across multiple projects.
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, supporting team growth.
- Engage with approving authorities, regulators, and stakeholders at a senior level.
- Support business development, including bid writing, client engagement, and identifying new opportunities.

Candidate Profile
- Chartered Engineer (CEng or equivalent) in fire engineering or a related discipline.
