Our Client is a growing and highly regarded specialist within the insurance claims and property restoration sector. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Senior Drying Technician to support and lead drying and restoration projects across the South West. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician to step into a senior position where you’ll take ownership of projects, mentor others, and play a key role in delivering high-quality restoration solutions following water, fire, and escape of water incidents.

As a Senior Drying Technician, you will take the lead on drying and moisture management projects, ensuring works are completed efficiently, safely, and in line with industry best practice.

Responsibilities
  • Leading drying projects from initial assessment through to completion
  • Carrying out moisture mapping, monitoring, and reporting
  • Installing, managing, and maintaining drying equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, etc.)
  • Producing clear and accurate drying reports for insurers and clients
  • Liaising with policyholders, loss adjusters, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring all works are completed in line with health & safety standards
  • Supporting and mentoring junior technicians where required
  • Managing job logs, documentation, and progress updates via internal systems
  • Identifying opportunities to improve drying performance and efficiency
Required Skills
  • Proven experience in structural drying / water damage restoration
  • Strong understanding of drying principles, moisture measurement, and equipment usage
  • Experience working within insurance claims or restoration environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deal with customers in sensitive situations
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work autonomously
  • A methodical and problem-solving mindset
  • Good IT skills and experience with reporting systems
Preferred Skills
  • BDMA Technician qualification (or working towards)
  • Experience mentoring or leading other technicians
  • Knowledge of fire and flood restoration processes
