About ELMO UK ELMO is a cloud based HR and payroll platform, founded in Australia in 2002, covering the full employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, performance and learning. ELMO is an established, trusted provider for mid sized organisations across Australia and New Zealand and is now building its presence in the UK. The UK expansion is backed by continued investment, including senior leadership hires and the acquisition of Rotageek, and represents a significant new growth market for the business. This role is central to that expansion.

Why this role is so important
The Marketing Manager role will own the Elmo marketing for the UK market. The role is responsible for building awareness, demand and commercial momentum for the ELMO brand in the UK, and is the primary point of contact for all marketing activity within the UK business. This is a hands on generalist role. There is no UK marketing team beneath it, so the person in this seat sets the direction and personally delivers the campaigns, content and collateral that follow. They will work with a high degree of autonomy, supported by the MME Marketing team and working closely with ELMO UK leadership and Sales.
The role has three horizons:
- Immediate: deliver quick wins that improve market presence and sales readiness, including refreshing the UK website and social channels, building a bank of relevant content and posts for the team to use, and creating or updating the collateral needed across the sales process.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Define and own the UK marketing strategy, aligned to ELMO UK business objectives and the wider MME marketing plan
- Develop and execute the UK relaunch and go to market plan: target audiences, positioning, messaging, channels, content, sales enablement, customer advocacy, measurement and optimisation
- Set priorities across brand, demand generation and customer marketing: Plan and manage the UK marketing budget with clear return on investment
- Execution and delivery
- Deliver immediate improvements to the ELMO UK website, social channels, content library, brand presence and sales collateral
- Personally plan, build and run campaigns across digital, content, email, events, social and partner channels
- Produce and maintain content, campaign assets and marketing collateral, and ensure they are adopted across the UK sales process
- Manage agencies, freelancers and suppliers where needed to extend capacity
- Pipeline and commercial impact
- Work with Sales to generate qualified pipeline through campaigns, events, content and partner activity
- Connect marketing activity to customer needs, pipeline and revenue outcomes
- Reporting and stakeholder management
- Report on marketing performance and pipeline impact to ELMO UK leadership and MME Marketing
- Translate data and results into clear, actionable insight for the wider business
- Act as the primary point of contact for all marketing activity within the UK business
- Collaborate effectively across ELMO UK, MME Marketing and cross functional teams
- Function building
- Bring structure, process and best practice to UK marketing

The hiring process
- Screening Call: Virtual via Google Meet with one of our team to have a friendly chat, learn more about your experience, what excites you about the role and how you approach building demand.
- Competency Interview: Online you’ll meet the hiring manager and we’ll explore your campaign experience, channel knowledge, analytical approach and how you work with Sales to generate pipeline. This is also your chance to ask us anything about the role and company.
- Final Stage Interview: You’ll meet members of the wider team and talk through how you would build a multi-channel demand generation programme, approach ABM and use performance data to improve pipeline contribution.
