The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role supporting Industrial, Food Manufacturing, Breweries, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Hospitals / NHS customers across Northwest London including areas across Enfield, Watford, Wembley, Uxbridge, St Albans, Borehamwood, Welwyn Garden City and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for:
- Servicing, maintaining and commissioning steam systems
- Fault finding and carrying out repairs on customer sites
- Supporting customers with technical advice and training
- Completing technical assessments and service reports
- Always ensuring high health & safety standards
This is a highly varied role combining hands-on engineering, customer interaction and technical problem solving.
Training & Development
The training in this role will be extensive, and you will spend a large amount of time with senior service engineers and service leaders to learn the products and engineering aspects of the role. They will also fund relevant training courses such as safe isolation, electrical 101 and working at height as well as investing in your development through the business. Regular product training will also be given with regular opportunity to spend time with the wider team.
Experience
The successful Field Service Engineer must have a mechanical or electrical qualification and may have worked with steam technology or boiler systems; however, this is not a requirement. Closely related industries include areas such as flow control, valves, actuators, pumps, instrumentation, automation, combustion, heat exchangers, heat transfer, control systems, water treatment, compressors or compressed air, HVAC and related products but any mechanical engineering experience will be considered.
