Manchester’s luxurious, glamourous and vibrant Rosso Restaurant & Bar is now looking for a confident, enthusiastic and experienced person to join their team. We are looking for a Duty Manager who can act in a supporting role to the General Manager and Assistant Manager and potentially provide cover for them in their absence. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the day to day running of the restaurant.
The qualities ideal candidates will possess include (but are not limited to):
- Current/previous experience in a similar busy, high-end restaurant environment.
- Excellent guest service skills with a background of exceeding and maintaining the guests’ expectations.
- A minimum of 12 month’s supervisory or management experience in a busy restaurant.
- A strong knowledge of wines and a passion for food.
- Natural leadership skills.
- A pro-active, can-do attitude.
- Initiative and drive to get things done in a professional manner and within set timescales.
- Confidence and adaptability in the way they give and receive instructions to the team and from senior management.
- Experience in training, coaching and developing staff as well as handling poor performance and conduct issues.
