Rossdales Equine Hospital are seeking veterinary nurses to join the team working in our equine Neonatal Intensive Care Unit for the 2026 foal season, from 14 January to 03 July 2026.

We provide forward-thinking, research-led first opinion and referral equine veterinary services to all sectors of the equine market, conducted in a caring, ethical and professional manner by our team of more than 60 experienced veterinary surgeons (including 18 boarded specialists) and over 120 support staff.
The Role
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provides high level intensive care to sick, new-born foals, including mechanical ventilation, total parenteral nutrition and cardiovascular support. Seasonal nurses will work shifts to enable us to provide 24-hour nursing care.
Successful applicants will also be expected to contribute to nursing in our adult intensive care unit and assist with adult emergency admissions.
Experience of either small animal or general equine nursing is essential and, although desirable, previous experience of neonatal nursing is not required. Applicants for this position should hold a qualification in veterinary nursing and be registered with the RCVS. Applicants that hold a nursing qualification gained outside the UK should be able to register with the RCVS.
Shared accommodation will be provided, with a no pets rule, which is not negotiable.
