Associate (Stud), Newmarket – Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Rossdales Veterinary Surgeons is seeking a dedicated veterinary surgeon to join our Stud Practice in the centre of Newmarket, at the heart of the racing community, for a fixed term from February 2027 to July 2027 to cover maternity leave.
The Practice is supported by Rossdales Laboratories, as well as our equine hospital, diagnostic centre and Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) in Exning for fast response diagnostic, surgical and medical procedures.
The successful applicant ideally should have experience in all aspects of stud farm practice and will be able to take advantage of an excellent CPD package, which promotes learning both externally and with access to the internationally renowned Rossdales CPD programmes.
This is a full-time role, working 49 hours per week, 08:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday and 08:00 to 12:00 on Saturday; the position will also include contribution to the out of hours on-call service.
The ideal candidate will be registered or eligible to register with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), will have the ability to maintain a calm manner under pressure, be a team player and integrate with our multidisciplinary specialist team. The successful individual will be highly motivated, with outstanding attention to detail, excellent client management skills with a high level of accuracy, verbal and written communication skills.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
