Responsibility for the planning and delivery of Rossall Schools Manchester City Football Programme.
- Planning of sessions, organisation of staffing and facilities.
- Fixture organisation for the Manchester City Programme teams.
- In charge of parental communication and player load management.
- Responsibility for the Manchester City ILP programme and delivery.
- Involvement in recruitment of pupils in conjunction with the admissions department.
- Keeping updated lists of current, former and future Manchester City Programme Pupils.
- Coach on the Rossall Elite Football Programme.
- Being available for Saturday and midweek cup and training fixtures as agreed with the Assistant Head (Director of Sport) at the commencement of each term.
- Being involved in the boarding life of a busy independent school.

From September 2026, football, hockey, cricket, golf, and netball will be led by dedicated, high-performance coaches with extensive expertise and a passion for developing young athletes. In football, our programme is strengthened through our link with Manchester City, bringing world-class methodology, coaching insight, and a global perspective aligned with one of the most progressive clubs in world football. This connection places our students within an international footballing framework, exposing them to elite standards, modern playing philosophies, and opportunities that extend far beyond the school environment.

The Head of Football Programme will work term time plus six weeks; 2 weeks of Michaelmas Pre-Season, 2 weeks of in-season tours and 2 weeks of Summer Camps. The salary is competitive depending on skills and experience.
