At Ross Video, you’ll be part of a team energized by innovation, building the cutting‑edge technology that powers the world’s most watched live productions and events. Our products are designed to be intuitive, reliable, and to deliver exceptional results—because our customers’ success is everything to us.
To champion the PIERO product line (PIERO Broadcast, PIERO Live and PIERO Touch) by owning product strategy, roadmap, and go‑to‑market execution, ensuring PIERO remains the #1 telestration system for top tier sports productions (broadcast analysis) and fan engagement/monetization (venues) while strategically expanding into other market segments.
What The Job Is All About
- Own PIERO’s product vision, positioning, packaging, and multi‑year roadmap across PIERO product family.
- Translate business objectives into measurable outcomes and quarterly priorities (e.g., venue growth, broadcast retention, geographic expansion).
- Stay close to customers and the field: understand workflows for operators, producers, engineers, and Ross Production Services; turn feedback into clear product decisions.
- Maintain a strong competitive view (features, pricing, positioning) and keep PIERO differentiated on graphics quality, ease of use, and ecosystem integration.
- Define and evolve licensing/subscription offers and bundles in partnership with Sales, Renewals, Inside Sales, Finance, and Operations.
- Build business cases and ROI narratives for strategic investments (AI/ML, data & insights, immersive replay, cloud/virtualization, new sports).
- Partner with Marketing to ensure technical accuracy and quality of customer‑facing content: website, collateral, release notes, demos, and video tutorials.
- Develop targeted value propositions for key segments (broadcast analysis vs. venue fan engagement/monetization) and key opportunities/accounts.
- Plan and execute launches for major PIERO releases and innovations in collaboration with Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
- Support trade show planning and execution; act as a PIERO spokesperson in customer and industry settings.
- Participate in key customer presentations and proofs‑of‑performance; help design effective workflows in pre‑sales and delivery.
- Create sales kits, pitch decks, and competitive battlecards; support responses to tenders/RFPs and complex technical questions.
- Improve subscription delivery and quoting readiness for both new sales and renewals, reducing friction for teams who don’t live in PIERO every day.
- Establish feedback loops and success plans with strategic customers and internal stakeholders; track adoption, satisfaction, and churn risk.
- Work with Software Development, Architecture, and Research to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria; prioritize the backlog and release scope.
- Drive roadmap execution for PIERO’s core capabilities: tracking/calibration, replay telestration, live graphics insertion, data visualization, and touch/Unreal workflows.
- Own integration roadmaps across the Ross ecosystem (e.g., Mira, XPression, Voyager/Unreal) and third‑party systems (data providers, camera/head tracking, etc.).
- Work closely with Technical Writing and Support to deliver a strong user experience through documentation, configuration guides, and application notes.
- Scout, evaluate, and develop partnerships in areas such as immersive replay, sports data/insights, and AI/ML, aligning opportunity, feasibility, and ROI.
- Coordinate discovery/prototyping with Engineering and ensure smooth commercialization with Legal, Finance, and Sales Operations.
- Track technology and market trends (AI/ML, cloud production, sports data) and translate them into actionable plans for PIERO.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of product management experience (B2B software preferred), ideally in broadcast, sports tech, graphics, video, or adjacent markets.
- Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Engineering, or a data analysis discipline; MBA preferred.
- Strong understanding of sports production workflows (telestration, replay analysis, live graphics insertion) and the needs of operators, producers, and engineers.
- Comfortable in technical conversations: SDI/NDI/IP video workflows, tracking/calibration concepts, graphics pipelines, integrations, and APIs.
- Experience working with agile software teams and writing clear product requirements (PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Working knowledge of AI/ML or computer vision concepts is a strong plus (such as player tracking, calibration and automation).
- Experience with product packaging, pricing, and software licensing/subscription models is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to turn complex technical details into clear customer value and internal alignment.
- Highly organized, detail oriented, and outcome‑driven; thrives in ambiguity and enjoys being hands‑on with customers.
- Team‑oriented problem solver with strong interpersonal skills and a bias for action.
