Eligibility and Entry
RSE Modern Apprenticeships are aimed at people aged 16 and over and are a viable alternative to university, providing you with the option to gain hands-on experience while earning a wage and studying towards an industry-relevant qualification. The specific qualifications needed for entry will vary depending on the apprenticeship, although most require three or more National 4s.

- Graduate Apprenticeships
RSE Graduate Apprenticeships are the most advanced band of Scottish apprenticeships, offering work-based learning and study up to master’s degree level. Graduate Apprenticeships are ideal if you’re looking to kick start your career by gaining full-time industry experience at the same time as working towards achieving your university degree. To apply, you’ll need to be aged 16 or over and have the right to live and work in Scotland. Most Graduate Apprenticeships have entry requirements that are similar to undergraduate degrees, but RSE will take into consideration alternative paths of learning. RSE currently offers four different Graduate Apprenticeship courses in the following disciplines:
- Civil Engineering
- Construction and the Built Environment
- Design and Manufacture
- Instrumentation, Measurement and Control
