What Are We Looking For?
Owing to organic growth through our continued success, our Finance department is looking to bring on board a Payroll Controller based in either our Inverness, Cumbernauld or Edinburgh office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established team with a vast portfolio of projects to undertake under the RSE business.
You will provide full and accurate payroll service, including the processing, payment and accounting of all elements of fixed and variable payments to all employees. Attention to detail is paramount, and through our use of new systems, we are confident that you will thrive in the environment around you.
Please note that whilst we are open to candidate location based on the above office, occasional visits to Inverness (our Head Office) will be required, as well as visits to our subsidiary businesses across the UK.
Some of Your Key Duties Include:
- Input all required information to payroll system for new starters and leavers.
- Set up new employees on the Company time management/recording system.
- Carry out briefings in relation to the Company time management/recording system.
- Processing of time sheets.
- Recording of annual leave allocation/applications.
- Checking and processing of required payments in respect of: expenses, annual leave, statutory sick/maternity/paternity pay.
- Liaise with relevant Managers to resolve pay queries.
- Submission of any PAYE/NI payments and documentation.
- Posting of journals in relation to e.g. pensions, CSA, court arrestment.
What Do You Need?
- Demonstrable experience working in a similar position, ideally within a high volume environment.
- A sound knowledge of software packages, primarily Word and Excel.
- A sound knowledge of all statutory and legislative directives/time lines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK Driving Licence
