We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator to join a busy and well-established sheet metal fabrication and engineering workshop in the West Yorkshire area. This role is primarily TIG-focused, working to a high standard on thin gauge materials, with some MIG welding required as part of the fabrication process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium
  • MIG welding as required for heavier or structural components
  • Fabrication of sheet metal components from engineering drawings
  • Working on items such as enclosures, cabinets, frames, and bespoke metal products
  • Cutting, bending, forming, and assembling metal parts
  • Operating workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, laser-cut parts assembly)
  • Ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in TIG welding and fabrication
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings
  • Experience with thin gauge sheet metal work
  • Good MIG welding ability (supporting skill)
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
