We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG / MIG Welder Fabricator to join a busy and well-established sheet metal fabrication and engineering workshop in the West Yorkshire area. This role is primarily TIG-focused, working to a high standard on thin gauge materials, with some MIG welding required as part of the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities:- TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium
- MIG welding as required for heavier or structural components
- Fabrication of sheet metal components from engineering drawings
- Working on items such as enclosures, cabinets, frames, and bespoke metal products
- Cutting, bending, forming, and assembling metal parts
- Operating workshop machinery (press brake, guillotine, laser-cut parts assembly)
- Ensuring all work meets quality standards and specifications
- Strong experience in TIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings
- Experience with thin gauge sheet metal work
- Good MIG welding ability (supporting skill)
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable and able to work independently or within a team
- Experience working in a sheet metal or production environment
- Familiarity with laser-cut and folded components
- Previous experience in full fabrication and assembly
