I am recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company who are looking to appoint a Skilled CNC Turner / Programmer to join their growing team.
This is a modern, clean workshop environment producing high-quality precision components for specialist engineering sectors. The company has a strong reputation for quality, low staff turnover and continued investment in machinery.
The Role
- Programming, setting and operating CNC lathes
- Working with Fanuc and/or Hurco controls
- Programming for one-off prototypes and small batch work
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings
- Working to tight tolerances
- Producing high-quality precision components
This is a hands-on role suited to a machinist who enjoys problem solving and working on varied, technically interesting parts β not repetitive production work.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years CNC turning experience, with programming ability (Fanuc essential, Hurco advantageous)
- Confident setting and operating independently
- Able to read and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Experience machining complex components to tight tolerances
