Your new role

An exciting opportunity for an Operational Support Team Lead to join our Manufacturing team. This is a hands‑on position, leading and supervising an Operations Support Team to ensure that high standards and full GMP compliance are consistently maintained in accordance to standard operating procedures. This is shift‑based position, working early & late shifts between Wednesday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering on‑floor support to manufacturing, including performing controlled cleaning of laboratories, clean room facility and equipment and disposing of biological laboratory waste.
  • Ensuring all materials required for manufacturing are transferred into the facility on time.
  • Recording activities and data, ensuring GMP logbooks are reviewed and kept up‑to‑date.
  • Ordering PPE and Kanban materials, liaising with contractors and Supply Chain to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Ensure all team members are fully trained for their responsibilities and review/sign off their personal training records.
  • Performing other tasks as reasonably expected by the Senior Operational Support Technician.

About you

  • Proven experience in line management, with the ability to lead, support, and develop a team effectively.
  • Hands‑on experience in a cGMP cleanroom environment or a similar regulated, controlled setting.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements, including safe chemical handling.
  • Good IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, maintaining strong customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities, able to manage priorities, plan ahead, and consistently deliver to deadlines.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities and short‑term business needs.

Qualifications

A HNC in Life Sciences or a related subject. We will also consider applicants with equivalent training and experience.
