About the Role

Role Purpose: To aid the profitable growth of Wood Mackenzie’s consulting business through leadership and management, business winning and project oversight. To proactively develop and manage the relationships between Wood Mackenzie and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Win consulting engagements by pro‑actively maintaining a high level of interaction across the region and/or the P&R sector more globally.
  • Focus on key customers, developing and extending strong relationships to enable a solid, repeatable and profitable consulting business.
  • Promote best practice business development across the P&R consulting practice and in collaboration with other consulting teams and the sales and account management teams.
  • Work with the appropriate P&R and EMEA teams to scope and develop winning pitches ensuring custom relevance, quality, and appropriate pricing.
  • Build and maintain the appropriate internal network and relationships (across consulting, research, sales and account management) to deliver the best possible outcome for both Wood Mackenzie and its customers.
  • Generate innovative ideas, solutions, and approaches to address industry’s largest and most pressing issues through individual consulting engagements and via the consulting practice capability as a whole.
  • Engage with and develop senior level customer community to demonstrate and debate strategic industry issues and perspectives.
  • Provide quality assurance and oversee program/project scoping and delivery.
  • Work closely with research teams and ensure/promote consistent and good working relationships.
  • Work closely with the sales and account management teams and ensure/promote consistent and good working relationships, facilitating their involvement in key consulting assignments to help increase content knowledge and deepen customer relationships.
  • Actively participate in customer mandates working with team and customers to ensure high quality, insightful result.

This VP role is highly commercial combining analytical rigor, acute problem solving and the skills to motivate and guide a team of talented consultants. The individual will excel at nurturing customer relationships and ensuring quality solutions that endeavour to exceed our customers' expectations.

A thorough understanding of the trends and drivers that are shaping strategies and an intellectual curiosity and drive to explore and address our customer’s challenges. A service mind‑set and the ability to build relationships with senior decision makers is critical. A proven track record of collaboration in the achievement of strategic aims. Strong project direction, presentation and writing skills are essential alongside advanced Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel skills.
