This opportunity is for experienced beauty, skincare and cosmetics sales professionals who are confident in generating new business and converting commercial relationships into revenue. Our client, a growing international beauty business specialising in premium Korean skincare, haircare and beauty innovation, is expanding its UK commercial presence and is seeking experienced Territory Business Development & Sales Consultants to develop new B2B relationships and grow sales across defined UK territories. This is not an entry-level sales opportunity.

Candidates should already understand how to prospect, open doors, build buyer relationships and close business. This is a highly flexible, fractional self-employed consultancy opportunity, requiring approximately 5–10 hours of consultancy services per month, initially offered on a three-month trial basis. At the end of the initial three-month period, the engagement will be formally reviewed. Continuation will be determined based on performance, commercial results and overall fit, with successful consultants potentially continuing on a longer-term consultancy basis.

About the Opportunity

You will be responsible for developing new business within an agreed UK territory, building commercial relationships and generating sales. You will represent a growing portfolio of carefully selected Korean beauty, skincare and haircare products. We are particularly interested in candidates who have already worked commercially within the beauty, skincare, cosmetics, haircare, aesthetics or related sectors and have established relationships and networks that they can begin developing from the outset.

Application Process — Please Read Carefully

Your application must include:

  • Your CV
  • A short covering letter
  • Full answers to all mandatory qualifying questions below within your covering letter

Mandatory Qualifying Questions — All Must Be Answered

  1. Which UK territory or territories can you realistically and confidently cover in person?
  2. How many years of sales or business development experience do you have within beauty, skincare, cosmetics, haircare, aesthetics or a closely related sector?
  3. Which types of beauty, retail or professional accounts have you personally opened or converted?
  4. Do you currently have existing relationships with relevant buyers, retailers, salons, clinics, spas, pharmacies, distributors or other beauty-sector decision-makers? If yes, please briefly describe your network.
  5. Please provide one specific example of a new account you personally identified and successfully converted into a paying customer.
  6. Are you confident prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing new business independently?
  7. Are you comfortable travelling within your territory and meeting prospective customers in person where commercially appropriate?
  8. This opportunity is offered as a self-employed, independent consultancy engagement and not as salaried employment. Approximately 5–10 hours of consultancy services are anticipated per month during the initial trial period. Consultants invoice for approved consultancy hours at an hourly rate equivalent to the applicable National Minimum Wage, in addition to performance-based commission. Please confirm explicitly that you understand and are comfortable with this structure.

Applications that do not include answers to all mandatory qualifying questions will not be reviewed.

Role Structure & Remuneration

This opportunity is offered as a self-employed, independent consultancy engagement and is not a salaried employment position. Approximately 5–10 hours of consultancy services per month are anticipated during the initial three-month trial period. Consultants will invoice the client for approved consultancy hours at an hourly rate equivalent to the applicable National Minimum Wage. There is no PAYE salary or salaried employment arrangement. Consultants will be responsible for their own tax and other obligations arising from their self-employed status. In addition to the hourly consultancy fee, the client offers a generous, uncapped performance-based commission structure. The commission structure is designed to provide significantly greater earning potential for consultants who successfully generate and convert new business, including opportunities to benefit from eligible repeat business generated from accounts they develop. There are also additional performance-based earning opportunities, including an annual bonus linked to commercial success. Full commission and bonus details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

This opportunity is designed for experienced sales professionals who are confident in their ability to generate business and are motivated by performance-led reward.

Three-Month Trial Period

The engagement will commence with an initial three-month trial period. At the end of this period, performance, commercial results and overall fit will be formally reviewed. Continuation beyond the initial trial period is not automatic and will be determined following this review. Consultants who demonstrate strong commercial performance and a good overall fit may be offered the opportunity to continue on a longer-term consultancy basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and developing new B2B sales opportunities
  • Building relationships with relevant buyers, business owners and decision-makers
  • Conducting proactive field-based business development within your territory
  • Presenting relevant beauty, skincare and haircare products professionally
  • Developing new customer accounts
  • Managing commercial follow-up and progressing opportunities
  • Converting opportunities into confirmed sales
  • Developing strong, long-term customer relationships
  • Supporting repeat business and account growth
  • Maintaining accurate records of commercial opportunities and progress
  • Providing relevant market and customer insight
  • Representing the client and its partner brands professionally

This is a results-led commercial opportunity. The focus is on creating genuine buyer interest, converting opportunities and developing valuable customer relationships.

Who This Opportunity Is For

You are likely to be a strong fit if you:

  • Have proven sales or business development experience within beauty, skincare, cosmetics, haircare, aesthetics or a closely related sector
  • Have an existing network of relevant commercial relationships that you can credibly begin engaging
  • Have personally generated and converted new business rather than only managing inherited accounts
  • Understand how to prospect and open new commercial accounts
  • Are confident approaching and developing relationships with buyers and business owners
  • Are comfortable conducting field-based business development and meeting prospective customers in person
  • Have strong commercial instincts and know how to progress opportunities towards a sale
  • Are confident representing premium products and brands
  • Are organised, self-directed and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy
  • Are motivated by performance-led earnings
  • Are comfortable operating as a self-employed independent consultant

Existing relationships or networks across beauty retail, salons, spas, aesthetics clinics, hair and scalp businesses, pharmacies, distributors, department stores or other relevant channels will be considered a strong advantage. We are looking for candidates who can bring both sector knowledge and genuine commercial relationships, rather than individuals looking to enter beauty sales for the first time.

Engagement Status

For clarity, this opportunity is offered as an independent consultancy engagement. It is not being offered as permanent or salaried employment. Successful consultants will provide services on a self-employed basis and will be expected to submit invoices for approved consultancy fees and any other amounts due in accordance with the agreed commercial terms. The detailed terms of the engagement, commission arrangements and performance framework will be provided to successful candidates as part of the consultancy agreement.

If you have the network, commercial confidence and drive to build business, we would like to hear from you.
