Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to drive strategic partnerships with financial institutions. The successful candidate will be crucial in increasing volume and revenue by developing and managing high-value partnerships, executing the company's business development strategy, and leading a high-performing sales team. Responsibilities
- Volume Growth & Partnership Strategy Execution: Own and execute the partnership strategy in alignment with our client's business objectives. Develop and refine the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) to target FinTech remittance services and financial institutions. Ensure company revenue goals are met or exceeded.
- Leadership & Sales Team Performance: Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team. Set and track KPIs (pipeline velocity, win rates, average deal size, etc.). Provide coaching and training on deal structuring and enterprise sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger Sales).
- Sales Process & Pipeline Management: Manage all sales process stages, from lead generation to closing deals with senior executives. Work closely with Sales Ops to ensure CRM accuracy and forecast readiness. Ensure consistent pipeline health through data-driven sales forecasting.
- Customer Acquisition & Market Expansion: Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities (e.g., new regions, financial institutions, fintech partnerships). Collaborate with the Marketing team to optimise lead generation and account-based marketing (ABM) strategies.
- Partnership Building and Customer Engagement: Establish key partnerships with fintechs, remittance services, and financial institutions. Build and maintain C-suite and Senior Management relationships with key clients, partners, and prospects. Address client needs, seeking ways to add value and foster loyalty. Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention through proactive management and support.
- Deal Structuring & Commercial Negotiations: Lead high-value, complex deal negotiations, ensuring optimal pricing and contractual terms. Work closely with Finance, Product and Compliance teams to ensure deal feasibility and compliance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Onboarding Analysts & Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition from deal close to active client and partner. Align closely with the Product and Solution Delivery teams to ensure that customer needs and product capabilities inform the sales strategy. Work with Compliance & Legal to ensure all deals adhere to KYC/AML and other regulatory requirements.
- Reporting & Executive Alignment: Deliver weekly/monthly reports on revenue performance, pipeline trends, and market insights. Provide executive leadership with data-driven recommendations on market expansion and strategic partnerships. Collaborate with the Founders on long-term revenue growth strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, business development, and/or partnership roles.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in Payments, Fintech, or Financial Services, with enterprise partnership experience.
- Proficient in utilising CRM systems for tracking and reporting.
- Strong ownership and attention to detail, with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused with a solid understanding of market needs and dynamics.
- Skilled at building lasting relationships with clients and partners.
- Ambitious, self-motivated, confident with high integrity and tenacity to bring value to a high-performing team.
