This role is offered as part-time to full-time, with flexibility to suit the successful candidate.
The position is fully on-site at Rosie Feet Podiatry in East Kilbride.
As a Podiatrist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and preventing a wide range of foot and lower-limb conditions. You will work with patients of all ages and deliver care that aligns with evidence-based practice and HCPC/RCOPOD professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive foot health assessments, including vascular and neurological testing.
- Provide routine podiatry treatments (nails, corns, callus, verruca care).
- Deliver diabetic foot care, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring.
- Conduct musculoskeletal and biomechanical assessments, including gait evaluation.
- Use diagnostic ultrasound (training can be provided if needed).
- Provide and prescribe custom orthotic and footwear solutions.
- Administer advanced therapies including:
- Shockwave therapy
- MLS laser therapy
- Warm wax therapy
- Assess and treat paediatric foot and lower-limb conditions.
- Perform nail surgery under local anaesthetic (or be willing to undertake training).
- Manage fungal nail and skin conditions, including diagnostic testing.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and communicate with GPs or other healthcare professionals when required.
- Educate patients on foot health, prevention, and self-care to support long-term outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree in Podiatry and HCPC registration (or pending for new graduates).
- Strong clinical skills in podiatry and biomechanics.
- Experience with orthotics and musculoskeletal conditions is desirable.
- Knowledge of diabetes-related foot complications and preventative strategies.
- Interest or experience in ultrasound, laser therapy, or shockwave therapy (training can be provided).
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small team environment.
