We are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and caring Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team at Anfield Pre-School.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting children during the most important years of their development.

The Role

As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care, learning and development opportunities for children within the setting.

Working as part of our Anfield team, you will help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment where children can explore, develop their independence and reach their individual potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Create engaging and meaningful learning opportunities based on children’s individual interests, needs and stages of development.
• Observe and assess children’s learning and development and use this information to support their next steps.
• Take responsibility for a group of Key Children and build positive relationships with their parents and carers.
• Support children’s personal, social, emotional, physical and educational development.
• Promote children’s independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Identify and respond appropriately to individual and additional needs.
• Work alongside the setting SENDCO and other professionals where additional support is required.
• Maintain accurate and appropriate records relating to children’s development and wellbeing.
• Develop positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ensure children’s individual dietary, allergy, medical and care requirements are followed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety throughout the setting.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including safeguarding, child protection, health and safety, safer eating and allergy procedures.
• Recognise, record and report safeguarding concerns in accordance with the setting’s safeguarding procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training and continued professional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and supportive working environment.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Carry out other reasonable duties appropriate to the position.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification.
• Is passionate about providing high-quality Early Years education and care.
• Has a good understanding of the EYFS.
• Understands safeguarding and their responsibilities when working with children.
• Is confident supporting children’s learning and development.
• Is caring, patient, enthusiastic and approachable.
• Has excellent communication skills.
• Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Is reliable, organised and professional.
• Is committed to ongoing training and professional development.

Essential Requirements

Applicants must:

• Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare.
• Have a good understanding of the EYFS.
• Have an understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Be able to demonstrate suitable experience of working with young children.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be willing to undertake all required training and continued professional development.

A current Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable; however, training can be provided where appropriate.

Working Pattern

This position is for 40 hours per week, term-time only.

As a term-time member of staff, you will work during the Pre-School’s designated term-time weeks. Further details regarding working patterns and term dates will be discussed during the recruitment process.
