Providelearning and development support to the business through engagement andcollaboration of delivering internal training, reserving external trainingproviders and utilising the apprenticeship scheme for development of the futureskills of the business.

Developingand monitoring internal on the job training and support processes

Identifyingfuture talent by building relationships and collaborating with trainingproviders, schools, colleges and universities and specialist organisations.

Maintain anawareness of current and future standards and opportunities including,apprenticeships

To buildand maintain the profile of training with all stakeholders and to develop apro-active approach to training across the business.

Health& Safety

Participatein the development and promotion of the HSE culture

Beexplementary in terms of health and safety and the environment

Implementingpreventative actions to reduce the environmental protection

Participate,upon request, in analyses (of risks, incidents) and HSE working groups relatedto his/her professional scope of his/her work

Befamiliar with the main health and safety risks and the main environmentalimpacts relating to the scope of his/her work

Befamiliar with the site's HSE policy and objectives

Tobe able to make proposals for improving working conditions and limitingenvironmental impact

Training& Development

Maintainthe training systems utilising document control systems and in-house trainingplatforms

Assistwith the development of the annual training plan housed within the trainingdocumentation

Assistwith the creation of the departmental strategy documentation

Assistthe HR manager with L&D budget projection and forecasting

Ensure training needs identifiedthrough the appraisal process are supported and delivered

Responsible for the development andimplementation of training in following areas: Project Management, 6 sigma,Project Facilitation and any other suitable training package which can bedelivered internally (example COSHH, abrasive wheels)

Stay current with trends in learningand development through CPD

Manage the end-to-end delivery oftraining programmes, internally and with external providers

Oversee onboarding and inductionlearning for new employees

In collaboration with key stakeholders develop leadership and management development programmes

Champion the use of digital learningtools

Work closely with HR Manager, seniorleaders and line managers

Act as an expert advisor andconsultant on all L&D matters

Build relationships with externaltraining providers, negotiate contracts with the support of the PurchasingManager

Lead and develop the Talent andTraining Coordinator

Manage workload allocation andperformance of the Talent and Training coordinator team

Internal Training

Review and develop where necessaryall on-the-job training processes to ensure they continue to meet productiondemands and health and safety requirements

Develop on-the-job trainingcompetencies across all production UAPs

Monitor on-the-job training for allnew starters and employees undergoing cross training (this will requireattendance outside of normal working hours to meet with night shift employees)

Monitor refresher training foron-the-job training

Organise and manage in-housetraining programmes, including liaising with external training providers whomay be delivering the training

External training

Source and book venues for externaltraining providers. Reporting

Creating, maintaining anddistributing training figures on a monthly basis

Monitor training hours undertaken,costs and respond to information requests from Group on training activity

Ensure training evaluations arecompleted in a timely manner across all platforms with the support HRapprentice

Evaluatethe effectiveness and return on investment of learning interventions

Assistwith Government reporting e.g. Apprenticeship Levy.

Coordinatewith apprentice programmes ensuring apprentices and trainees are adequatelysupported

Support,engage and develop apprentices through quarterly apprentice forums
