To lead and support the corporate finance team in maintaining EMEA regional accounting, tax and reporting processes to ensure a controlled, check and balance, financial environment at all times across the region.
Manage regional monthly closing and reconciliation. Review and approve journal entries to make sure all company transactions are accounted properly according to applicable accounting standards and group accounting policies including but not limited to:
- Review GL entries as posted by Shanghai team;
- Review AR and AP entries as posted by Shanghai team;
- Review cash collection entries as posted by Shanghai team;
- Review compliance of invoices and Tax entries with local team;
- Review balance sheet reconciliations;
- Review intercompany reconciliation.
Coordinate with T&C to get necessary payroll data for monthly booking and ad hoc requests, e.g. audit and tax return. Prepare and review tax return for all entities (e.g. NL, UK, GR and UAE) in EMEA including quarterly VAT and annual Corporate Income Tax for timely filing. Support annual group audit tasks. Lead Dutch audit process to fulfil audit requests and finalize financial statements for signing and deposit. Support group tax planning initiatives and annual CbCR filing. Ensure local entities compliant with transfer pricing legislation and manage tax audit if any. Support group reporting requests. Prepare for local Government and other ad hoc reporting. Support annual budgeting process to assist with forecast and variance analysis for regional OPEX and tax expense. Conduct local training for finance policy, process and system.
Required Skills
- Independent, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, detail oriented and accurate in work.
- Adequate knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS.
- Solid experience of VAT & CIT filing in Europe.
- Good command of finance system. Experience of Oracle and SAP is preferred.
- Auditor experience is preferred.
- High proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required.
- Preferably with membership of professional finance organizations, such as CPA / ACCA.
Experience
- At least 8 years' accounting and tax experience in multinational company is required.
- 2-3 years Auditor experience is preferred.
- Experience of team management and leadership is required.
