Roseway Labs is a pharmacy dedicated to serving private clinics and their patients. We receive electronic prescriptions and compound medication to order, dispatching via the postal system. Following continued growth and the opening of a new site in 2023, we are seeking an additional fully qualified pharmacist, registered to practise in the UK, to carry out Responsible Pharmacist duties and support the wider pharmacy operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpreting electronic prescriptions and determining the appropriate ingredients, strengths, and dosage forms for each compounded medication.
- Conducting clinical and final accuracy checks on prescriptions.
- Verifying the quality, sterility (where applicable), and purity of compounded products.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the dispensary and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Supervising the dispensary team during daily operations and helping to maintain a positive, productive working environment.
- Providing guidance, oversight, and support to dispensary staff in line with company protocols.
- Assisting the Pharmacy Manager with the maintenance and implementation of SOPs and other business protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Advising patients and clinic staff on the appropriate use and potential side effects of medications.
- Keeping up to date with compounding techniques, regulations, and professional standards.
- Supporting stock management, ordering processes, and general dispensary organisation.
Requirements:
- GPhC registration as a pharmacist in the UK (essential).
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding and regulations is desirable, but not essential – full training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and safety.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A process-focused approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Experience supervising or mentoring dispensary staff is advantageous but not essential.
Working Hours:
- Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
- No weekend working required
