What you can expect:

Due to our continued growth, our UK office in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to add to our team of multi-skilled NDT technicians. The role is to support and grow the delivery of field verification projects to our UK and worldwide client base, supporting the global regionalisation of inspection based products and services, primarily in the pipeline industry. Successful candidates will be required to travel nationally and internationally when required to perform a variety of Non-Destructive Tests on the assets of our clients. Involvement in the analysis - desk and laboratory based - and follow up work with a range of engineers from other disciplines within the business provides the best overall service to our clients. What you will bring:

  • Essential:
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Qualified to minimum PCN Level II in MT, UT 3.1, 3.2 or equivalent.
  • Qualified to minimum PCN Level II in PAUT & ToFD.
  • Knowledge and experience with Full Matrix Capture (FMC) and Total Focussing Method (TFM).
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with both internal and external clients.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desire to develop knowledge in all aspects of pipeline integrity and field verification inspections and surveys.
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and basic IT systems/software.
  • Desire to grow and develop a business through delivery of quality work.
  • Desirable:
  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques of vintage pipe and plate.
  • Strong understanding of weld flaw types and processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards and best practices for pipeline and defect inspection.
