Role Overview

Coatings Technician – Integrity Management Office, Newcastle Upon Tyne

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering coatings and other environmental services
  • Participating in commercial and R&D projects
  • Performing inspections, surveys and investigations on client assets
  • Desk and laboratory‑based analysis
  • Collaborating with engineering colleagues

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in field roles
  • NACE / BGaS / Icorr Coatings certification at minimum Level 2
  • Extensive experience in performing in‑field coating evaluation surveys
  • Knowledge of relevant UK and international codes, standards and best practices relating to coatings protection and inspection
  • Willingness to work regularly (>60%) away from home, primarily UK sites with some international projects
  • Ability to work closely and effectively with internal and external clients
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to develop knowledge in pipeline integrity and field verification inspections and surveys
  • Competence in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems/software
  • Commitment to delivering quality work and growing the business
