What you can expect
Our UK Integrity Management office in Newcastle upon Tyne currently requires a Graduate Engineer to support our UK Gas Networks Group, and other groups where necessary, in delivering technical projects to the desired quality, time and cost. The role will involve working with engineers and technicians at all levels, and from other disciplines within the business, on commercial client projects as well as internal R&D initiatives.
Examples of the successful candidate’s roles and responsibilities would include the following:
- Support Senior and Principal Engineers in delivery of UK onshore gas network (transmission and distribution) related projects for clients
- Produce associated technical reports
- Participate in technical meetings with other ROSEN staff and clients
- Support delivery of gas industry innovation projects
- Analyse data and use industry guidelines and models to assess pipelines
- Assessments of pipe integrity from ground movement and external loads
- First level checking of calculations
What you will bring
- Educated to a minimum of degree level in an engineering, scientific, or related field of study
- Self-starter with problem solving and analytical ability
- Pro-active with good attention to detail
- Good technical writing skills
- Able to contribute to technical discussions internally whererequired
- Experience or interest in geotechnical related issues would be advantageous but not essential
