Role Overview
Coatings Technician – Integrity Management Office, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering coatings and other environmental services
- Participating in commercial and R&D projects
- Performing inspections, surveys and investigations on client assets
- Desk and laboratory‑based analysis
- Collaborating with engineering colleagues
What you will bring:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience, including at least 3 years in field roles
- NACE / BGaS / Icorr Coatings certification at minimum Level 2
- Extensive experience in performing in‑field coating evaluation surveys
- Knowledge of relevant UK and international codes, standards and best practices relating to coatings protection and inspection
- Willingness to work regularly (>60%) away from home, primarily UK sites with some international projects
- Ability to work closely and effectively with internal and external clients
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to develop knowledge in pipeline integrity and field verification inspections and surveys
- Competence in Microsoft Office and basic IT systems/software
- Commitment to delivering quality work and growing the business

- Full‑time, permanent role (37.5 hours per week) based at the Test Facility in Newcastle upon Tyne
