People Partner
Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Salary up to £59,000 DOE
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Hybrid role, 2-3 days onsite per week
Hours: 37 hours per week
Roselands Resourcing are proud to be partnering with a well established organisation in Worthing who are seeking an experienced People Partner to work closely with leaders and managers.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded HR professional to influence business decisions, shape people strategies and drive positive organisational change, while supporting business performance, colleague engagement and overall organisational effectiveness.
You’ll play a key role in organisational change and transformation, while providing expert employee relations advice and guidance on complex and sensitive people matters.
What you’ll be doing as a People Partner:
Strategic business partnering
- Provide advice and support on complex employee relations matters, helping managers navigate sensitive issues confidently, fairly and consistently
- Partner with leaders and managers to develop and deliver people plans that align with business objectives and organisational priorities.
- Provide credible, commercially focused HR advice, constructively challenging decisions and influencing leaders to achieve the best outcomes for the business and its people.
- Lead and support organisational design, restructuring and workforce change initiatives.
- Support business transformation programmes, ensuring change is effectively planned, communicated and implemented, with appropriate stakeholder engagement.
- Build colleague engagement and organisational effectiveness through proactive people initiatives and practical support for managers.
Working collaboratively across HR
- Partner with Talent and Development colleagues to strengthen performance management, succession planning, talent reviews and colleague development.
- Work with Reward specialists on job evaluation, role benchmarking and reward-related decisions, ensuring advice supports business needs and wider reward principles.
- Collaborate with Recruitment colleagues to support workforce planning, talent attraction and recruitment strategies that help the organisation attract and retain the right people.
- Build strong working relationships across the wider HR function, ensuring joined-up advice and consistent delivery of people priorities.
Continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve people processes, management practices and ways of working.
- Use insight, experience and sound judgement to recommend practical solutions that improve organisational effectiveness and colleague experience.
- Stay informed about developments in employment law, HR best practice and emerging people trends, translating these into relevant advice and recommendations.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be an established HR business partner who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. You’ll be confident working with leaders at different levels, comfortable navigating complexity and able to build credibility through sound advice, constructive challenge and strong relationships.

- Excellent employment law knowledge and the confidence to advise on complex employee relations matters and emerging HR issues.
- Strong influencing and coaching skills, with the ability to challenge constructively, support managers and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Commercial awareness and strategic judgement, enabling you to balance organisational requirements, risk and colleague impact.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive or complex information clearly and sensitively.
- Resilience and emotional intelligence, enabling you to remain calm under pressure, manage competing priorities and handle challenging conversations with confidence.
- A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to see different perspectives, build consensus and turn ideas into meaningful action.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver at pace.
- A continuous improvement mindset and a genuine interest in developing people, strengthening leadership capability and improving organisational performance.
- Proven HR business partnering experience within a fast-paced, complex organisation, with the ability to connect people priorities to wider business objectives.
- Strong organisational change expertise, including experience delivering end-to-end change programmes, organisational restructures and TUPE-related activity.
Qualifications and experience
- CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent professional experience.
- Degree-level qualification or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant, demonstrable experience in an HR business partnering role, including organisational change, employee relations and advising managers and leaders.
