Roselands Resourcing are proud to be working with a well-established manufacturing company based in Worthing, who are looking to appoint an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their growing People team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working closely with managers and employees, providing practical advice and support across a broad range of employee relations matters.
The Role
- Providing expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters
- Managing and advising on disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases
- Supporting managers through formal and informal ER processes
- Advising on performance management and improving employee engagement
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently
- Working closely with managers to identify and resolve people-related issues
- Supporting investigations and preparing appropriate documentation
- Providing guidance on employment legislation and best practice
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Supporting wider HR projects and initiatives as required
About You
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor, Employee Relations Advisor or HR Generalist position, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG or similarly fast-paced environment
- Strong experience managing employee relations cases
- A good working knowledge of UK employment legislation
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- The confidence to challenge and advise managers where appropriate
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
- CIPD qualification or working towards this would be advantageous
