Roselands Resourcing are proud to be working with a well-established company based in Brighton, who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll & Benefits Advisor to join their People team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll and benefits professional to take ownership of a broad range of payroll, benefits and employee reward activities within a growing manufacturing environment.
The Role
Working within the HR team and reporting into the Payroll Manager, as Payroll & Benefits Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, while acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers on payroll and benefits-related queries. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the end-to-end monthly payroll process
- Ensuring payroll information is accurate and processed within deadlines
- Managing payroll changes including new starters, leavers, salary changes and deductions
- Acting as a point of contact for employee payroll queries
- Administering company benefits and employee benefit schemes
- Supporting annual benefits and salary review processes
- Maintaining accurate payroll and benefits records
- Liaising with payroll providers and external benefit providers
- Ensuring payroll and benefits processes comply with relevant legislation
- Producing payroll and benefits reports for HR and Finance
- Supporting audits and year-end payroll activities
- Contributing to wider HR, reward and benefits projects
About You
We are looking for an experienced Payroll, Benefits or HR professional with strong attention to detail and a good understanding of UK payroll processes. You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in payroll, benefits or a combined HR/payroll role
- Good knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- Experience working with payroll systems and HR systems
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or similarly fast-paced environment would be advantageous

- £39,000–£43,000, depending on experience
