Personal Assistant β Supporting a Young Man to Live Independently β TPJR20261006
We are looking for a friendly, reliable and engaging Personal Assistant to join an established team supporting a young man with a learning disability and complex physical health needs.
He lives in his own apartment attached to his family home in Deddington, giving him the opportunity to develop his independence while remaining close to his family and support network.
He is a sociable young man who enjoys trains and steam railways, car boot sales, cinema trips, coffee shops and restaurants, conventions, practical projects and spending time with friends.
This role is about much more than providing care. We are looking for someone who can build a positive relationship with him, encourage his independence and support him to enjoy an active and fulfilling life.
What You'll Be Doing
You will support him with everyday life, including getting out into the community, social activities, meal preparation, medication, mobility and developing his independent living skills.
He also has complex physical health needs, including respiratory needs. Support may include monitoring his respiratory wellbeing, oxygen therapy and nebulised medication.
Full training and competency assessment will be provided for all delegated healthcare tasks.
What We Offer
You'll become part of a small, dedicated Personal Assistant team, with comprehensive induction, ongoing support and all mandatory and specialist training required for the role.
Β£14.30 per hour β weekdays
