Rosehill Veterinary Clinic in Plymouth is offering a rare opportunity for a Director of Practice and Clinical Services. This role is ideal for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to combine hands-on clinical work with the chance to shape and lead a well-established practice.

You will spend around 75% of your time in practice, enjoying a balanced mix of consultations and surgery, while also playing a key role in mentoring colleagues, supporting case discussions, and helping develop less experienced vets and new graduates. With access to excellent facilities including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, and multiparameter monitoring, you will be well supported in delivering high-quality care.

As Director of Clinical Services, you will provide senior clinical leadership across a large practice, hospital, or group of services, setting and delivering the clinical vision in line with IVC Evidensia’s strategy, standards, and values. You will oversee clinical governance, quality improvement, and performance across services, working closely with senior operational leaders to drive excellent patient outcomes, sustainable service delivery, and a strong clinical culture.

This is a full-time role working four days per week, with a share of 1:4 Saturday mornings from 8:30 am to 1 pm. There are no out of hours or on-call responsibilities as these are managed by a nearby IVC hospital. Part-time applications of 30+ hours or more per week will also be considered.

You Might Be a Great Fit If…

  • You are a senior veterinary leader with a strong track record of clinical excellence and strategic leadership.
  • A Veterinary degree with RCVS registration and significant senior clinical experience.
  • Proven leadership experience within a complex veterinary or healthcare setting.
  • Strong expertise in clinical governance, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
  • The ability to set and deliver a clinical vision while leading and developing high-performing teams.

  • £1,250 annual Care Fund for every vet.
