Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities and a compassionate approach to senior care. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents while working within a supportive and professional environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience in supervising and delivering high-quality care.

Duties

  • Provide personalised care to residents, supporting their daily needs with dignity and respect
  • Assist with medication administration following care plans and health protocols
  • Supervise and mentor junior care staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and company policies
  • Develop, review, and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Monitor residents\’ health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to the management team
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, observations, and incidents
  • Support residents with mobility, personal hygiene, nutrition, and emotional wellbeing
  • Lead by example in delivering compassionate, professional care at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in senior or specialised care environments, ideally within a care home setting
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
  • Strong communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
  • Knowledge of care plans, health & safety regulations, and safeguarding procedures
  • Competency in IT systems used for record keeping and reporting purposes
  • Driving licence is desirable for supporting transportation needs or errands outside the home
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise staff while maintaining a caring approach
  • Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently

Pay: Β£12.80-Β£12.90 per hour
