About you:
- Hold a full and relevant level 2/3 Early Years Qualification
- Have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding duties, nursery procedures and policies
- Have good knowledge of birth to 5 development and the EYFS curriculum
- Excellent practice within an early years setting
- Have excellent organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge in Early Years and have full understanding of children’s emotional, physical, psychological and educational developmental needs
- A positive attitude with an unwavering commitment to service excellence to allow us to maintain our high standards
- Be able to work as a team
- Have a professional attitude and manner
What you’ll be doing:
- Supervising children within the nursery environment, including mealtimes, rest periods and nappy changing/toileting
- Creating fun and engaging activities to suit the needs of the children
- Promote good hygiene practices
- Building solid, caring relationships with parents/carers, families, professionals, and your team
- Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers
- Supporting your team members and being a positive role model, who looks to develop and suggest positive changes
- Leading the room in the absence of the room leader
- Attend staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development
- Monitor and record all accidents
- Adhering to and implement all nursery procedures and policies
