What you'll be doing
- Supervising children within the nursery environment, including mealtimes, rest periods and nappy changing/toileting
- Creating fun and engaging activities to suit the needs of the children
- Promote good hygiene practices
- Building solid, caring relationships with parents/carers, families, professionals and your team
- Keeping accurate records and communicating with parents/carers
- Supporting your team members and being a positive role model, who looks to develop and suggest positive changes
- Leading the room in the absence of the room leader
- Attend staff meetings or any training courses that will help enhance your personal and professional development
- Monitor and record all accidents
- Adhering to and implementing all nursery procedures and policies
What we're looking for
Essential
- Full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Good knowledge of safeguarding responsibilities
- A genuine passion for supporting young children's development
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
- Previous nursery nurse experience
- Interest in outdoor learning and child‑led learning approaches
- Confidence in building relationships with families and professionals
Working Hours
Part time and full time positions available Monday to Friday. *Subject to use of funding entitlement.
