Teaching Assistant in Epsom

Your opportunity:

• As a key member of the Rosebery SEND team and working closely with Teaching colleagues, our Teaching Assistants provide high-quality and timely support to students, supporting their learning and development, in areas such as independent learning, social and emotional wellbeing and metacognitive skills including planning, problem solving and reviewing.
• The successful candidate will maintain a presence in lessons and SEND support areas, ensuring students have access to uncluttered, well-organised learning environments and have the resources necessary to access their learning as independently as possible.
• Our Teaching Assistants also assist with supporting student educational visits, break and lunchtime supervision and deliver therapy and/or care programmes designed by external agencies.

What we are looking for:

• Someone with experience of working with young people, ideally with those with SEN.
• An empathetic communicator who is able to develop positive relationships with students and adults.
• An ability to scaffold students' learning.
• Commitment to the process of learning.
• A positive role model who is able to stay calm and objective.
• A team player who genuinely believes every child can succeed.

The Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Salary: GLF Associate 2.1 £23,914 Actual Salary: £17,858.57
• Hours: 31.25 hours per week Monday to Friday 8.15am - 3pm (Term time only - 39 weeks)
