Your Role:

As a Peripatetic Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff across our Wakefield and Sheffield homes. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities, you will ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Travelling between the homes in the region to support the existing teams.
  • Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
  • Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
  • Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
  • Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.
  • Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations.

  • Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
  • Ability to develop and mentor others
