Your Role:
As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. Providing direct caregiving with supervisory responsibilities, you will ensure that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.)
- Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents
- Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members
- Monitoring residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff
- Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected
- Ensure the care environment is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
- Use of PCS (electronic care plans) and EMAR (electronic medication administration)

- Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
