Your Role:
As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for general repairs, routine maintenance, and ensuring the home is compliant with health and safety regulations. Your role is essential in ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely on a day-to-day basis. You will ultimately operate dually across both The Ferns and Primrose Lodge which are both sited in the same location.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, plastering)
- Responding promptly to reported faults or emergency maintenance requests
- Performing general handyman duties, including assembling furniture, moving equipment, and minor groundskeeping
- Supporting external contractors when on site
- Keeping maintenance records and reports up to date
What We’re Looking For:
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications (desirable but not required)
- Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
- Full UK driving licence (if travel between sites is required)
