At Roseberry Care, we’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Regional Registered Electrician who is committed to keeping our homes safe, running smoothly, and making a real difference to the daily lives of others—especially older and vulnerable people.

Location: Regional role covering our homes between Morpeth and Bishop Auckland.

Salary: £35,000.00/year.

Hours: 37.5 Per Week.

Your Role: As a Regional Registered Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical safety and compliance of our care homes across multiple locations. This role is ideal for a qualified and registered professional who takes pride in maintaining safe, efficient, and welcoming environments for residents, families, and staff.

  • Carrying out statutory electrical safety testing, inspections, and remedial works, signing off in line with current regulations.
  • Responding promptly to electrical maintenance requests from care home managers, prioritising urgent safety-related issues.
  • Undertaking routine electrical repairs, installations, and fault finding.
  • Supporting external contractors when on site and ensuring works meet compliance standards.
  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and documentation, ensuring full compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Travelling regularly across the assigned region with flexibility to support different care homes as needed.

  • Recognised electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, AM2, or equivalent).
  • Current registration and ability to sign off electrical works (18th Edition or equivalent required).
  • Proven experience in electrical safety testing, installation, and maintenance.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with care home staff and residents.
  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.
