Location: Regional role covering our homes between Morpeth and Bishop Auckland

Salary: £30,000.00/year

Hours: 37.5 Per Week

About Us: Roseberry Care is a warm and welcoming community with over 1,500 dedicated professionals across 25 homes—from Morpeth to Milton Keynes. We support nearly 1,200 residents, offering everything from elderly and dementia care to care for younger adults with neurological or physical disabilities. Your Role: As a Regional Floor Layer, you will play a key role in ensuring our homes remain safe, clean, and visually appealing. From fitting new floors and repairing existing surfaces to ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, your craftsmanship will directly contribute to creating homely, secure environments where residents can thrive.

  • Installing a variety of flooring types, including vinyl, laminate, carpet, and safety flooring, to a high professional standard.
  • Conducting floor inspections, repairs, and replacements as needed to maintain safety and functionality.
  • Preparing subfloors and ensuring surfaces meet health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Working closely with care home managers to schedule and prioritise flooring works with minimal disruption to residents.
  • Assisting with risk assessments and maintaining documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Supporting external contractors on site and ensuring work meets Roseberry Care standards.
  • Travelling regularly across the assigned region with flexibility to support different care homes as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Recognised flooring qualification or proven experience in floor laying (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Strong practical experience in installing and maintaining a variety of floor coverings.
  • Understanding of health, hygiene, and safety standards relevant to care environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and professional approach when working in care settings.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region.
