Your Role
As a Domestic Assistant in our care home, you’ll be more than just a cleaner—you’ll be part of a team that helps create a safe, comfortable, and dignified environment for our residents.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Cleaning resident bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas (lounges, dining rooms, hallways)
- Following infection prevention and control procedures in line with care home policies
- Disposing of waste safely and in accordance with health regulations
- Restocking cleaning supplies and informing management of low inventory
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns
- Working respectfully and sensitively around residents, staff, and visitors
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role (preferably in a care or healthcare setting)
- Understanding of cleanliness standards in a residential care environment
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed
- Respectful, compassionate, and considerate when working around vulnerable adults
