Requirements

  • Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Location: Main Street, Cherry Burton, Beverley HU17 7RF

Salary: £14.00 per hour

Hours: 33 Hours Per Week nights and alternate weekends

Your Role

As a Senior Care Assistant you will provide both hands-on support to residents and leadership to junior care staff within our local care home. You will supervise and support residents, ensuring that our high standards of person-centred care are consistently delivered.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
  • Promote dignity, independence, and individual rights of residents.
  • Supervise and support junior care staff and new team members.
  • Monitor residents’ conditions and report any changes to senior management or nursing staff.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, ensuring they feel listened to and respected.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Senior Carer or similar role in a care home environment
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for elderly care and team development
  • Ability to develop and mentor others
