We’re a friendly, growing accountancy practice based in Thornaby-on-Tees, and we’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Admin Assistant to join our office-based team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to return to work or balance work with family commitments, in a supportive and professional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Greeting clients for in-office appointments with warmth and professionalism
  • Onboarding new clients – sending welcome packs, collecting key information, and ensuring all setup steps are complete
  • Registering clients for taxes including VAT, PAYE, Self Assessment, and Corporation Tax
  • Handling incoming calls and emails
  • Managing diaries and scheduling meetings
  • Filing, scanning, data entry, and maintaining up-to-date client records
  • Providing general admin support to the wider team

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous admin or office experience (accountancy or professional services is a bonus)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Professional, friendly manner with a focus on client care
  • Ability to handle confidential information with care
